The best ice cream in Copenhagen
Copenhagen boasts a wide choice of amazing places to get ice cream - from traditional gelaterias to laden waffle cones in ice-cream parlours. As soon as the sun emerges for a minute or two in the capital, the Danes and tourists alike flock to sample the delicious and innovative flavours on offer at these establishments. Here are some of the city's top ice cream spots (in my opinion!) which you just might want to explore:
Ismageriet
Flæsketorvet 55, 1711 København
A beloved institution in the Meatpacking District, this ice cream shop is known for its creamy, organic dairy and fruit-based sorbets. Ismageriet always have at least 30 flavours to choose from, and you can visit multiple times to sample seasonal flavours like pistachio, amarena cherry (my personal favourite), and even champagne sorbet around New Year.

This innovative instituiton specializes in organic ice cream made with liquid nitrogen, resulting in an extra creamy texture. ISTID are known for their creative and often vegan-friendly flavours - thoroughly recommended!
Siciliansk Is

Siciliansk Is boast a regularly changing menu, my personal favourites include the Suppa Inglese, Hazlenut and Sea Buckthorn.

Alice Coffee & Ice Cream is a cosy spot offering high-quality ice cream and excellent coffee.
Isoteket

The website mentions their maker of ice-cream went to gelato university in Bologna (was it a sundae school?), so you know these guys are the real deal! Isoteket focus on innovative and organic ice cream, delivering genuine Italian gelato of high quality.
Nicecream
Elmegade 30, 2200 København
The only 100% vegan ice cream shop in Copenhagen (which I am aware of - please let me know in the comments if I missed any!). Nicecream are committed to sustainability, offering delicious plant-based options with chocolate brownie and cookie dough among my favourites.
Rajissimo

Lydolph's Isbar
